Last updated 31 August 2026. This policy explains how we handle personal and health information.
Bhum Health Services respects your privacy and handles personal and health information in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA.
Through this website we collect only what you provide: name, organisation, email, phone number, service of interest and the details of your message. In the course of providing care we collect health, funding and support information as set out in your service agreement.
We use your information to respond to enquiries, assess referrals, plan and deliver care, coordinate with funders and partner agencies, and meet legal reporting obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Information is shared only with your consent, within your circle of care, or where required by law — for example mandatory reporting of a child at risk.
This site may use cookies to understand aggregate traffic and improve the experience. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser; core pages will continue to work.
Records are stored in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and available only to staff who need them for care delivery. Staff sign confidentiality agreements and receive annual privacy training.
Care records are retained for the period required by Ontario legislation and funder agreements, after which they are securely destroyed. Website enquiries are kept for up to 24 months.
You may request access to your records, ask for corrections, withdraw consent where care permits, or raise a concern with our Privacy Officer. We respond within 30 days.
